NOTES FROM HISTORY:
The 240SX is one of the most revered cars in the import tuning industry today, because of a phenomenon that is taking place U.S.A right now: Drifting. The FR layout of the car suits the sport of drifting very well, and has brought about a revival in interest and usage of the car amongst the drifting community and tuning crowd alike. With a Macpherson Strut front and muli-link rear, a lot of suspension modification can be done along with setup and tuning that can extract a lot of handling potential out of the car. Even though USDM 240SX came with the KA24DE motor instead of the much swapped and touted JDM SR20DET, it still is a fun car to drive. With the KA24DE, pull is the name of the game. The torquey motor pulls nicely from low-end up to past midrange. The 240SX provides a very versatile and agile platform for different types of racing. |

This car has been driven hard for over 3 years at various autocrosses, driftdays, and track days so, it’s safe to say that the car loves to slide (I can attest to that because I’ve done it too often) and that it can be very balanced and predictable at the limit. Mostly anyone can drive this car with ease but, it takes someone who knows it really well to drive it really fast! |
